I started off with a 7×1 dots and drew the sikku kolam. After drawing the outline, thought of elaborating the kolam with additional sikku strands. 3-1 dot sikku kolam on corners and on the sides. I added border on the outer and joined all the sikkus with the border.
Though the output looks bit raw, I tried to enhance the kolam by filling up the empty spaces with lines. I should have taken extra care while drawing the outer four dot sikku strands. I think, something was eating up my mind while I was making this kolam 🙂
This is kolam was a spur of the moment, as I usually don’t preplan before drawing.. The first line or dot decides the genre and design of the kolam. After finishing a kolam I take a resolution to prepare and rehearse before starting a kolam 🙂 but never adhered to the objective of drawing a kolam 🙂 In this kolam I have used white and yellow colour chalk piece to draw.
