Naalu Kaal kuthu Vilakku – a standing brass lamp constructed with 4 legs
During a visit to a friend’s home in my college days, happed to see an antic and unique Kuthu vilakku with 4 sturdy legs. Heard said it was her family’s possession which had been inherited for 4 generations. To date, I haven’t heard nor seen this kuthuvilakku yet sourcing its existence.
As kuthu vilakku is the theme for today’s #kolamenthusiastskarthigaikondattam @kolamenthusiasts I was planning to draw a normal kuthu vilakku pattern, but out of blue remembered the naalu kaal kuthu vilakku and patterned a simple side view of the vilakku.
Now I regret not documenting the vilakku during my visit and tried to get an image alas the family doesn’t hold the vilakku now.
Yet google isn’t quenching my curiosity!!! And my hunt continues!
