A freestyle pattern in White. The second finding in my treasure hunt.
The centre design courtesy goes to a friend of mine, who passed down four base designs for me when I had requested. I always ponder for the base design so got a helping hand 🙂 . A starting trouble to say. Once I start with the base design, I get tuned to the main theme of the kolam building on and on until I encounter with the space constraint.
This kolam got a shape of eight tailed star. I tried to draw a border line around the four petal flower which formed a star design. And I tried to recreate the petal shapes on the next layer too, then followed by the triangles enclosing the kolam. Found an element to adore the kolam, “the dots” I tried my level best to include dots as a theme element. And I hope those are well amplified to be seen in the display. My imagination gets restricted within a stipulated size of 2’x2′.
I didn’t add any colours to the kolam as I didn’t have time to think about the colour combinationas well as for colouring. Colouring is a time consuming task, that’s the reason I try to minimise in my kolams 🙂
