A very casually drawn rangoli done at my parents’ home in 2015. Got new stock of of white kolam powder, 50kgs :-), which a friend of mine had sent from Bangalore. Excited and curious to get to know the texture of the kolapodi, I started to draw and tried my hand in drawing different types of strokes, right from single to five lines. Don’t know, why didn’t go for double line stroke, Guess I was much excited and didn’t mind about anything, should have enjoyed the moment 🙂
Started the design by a stencil, as I wanted to know the fineness of the powder, the first impression was impressive. And started to extend with minarets around. Tried broad stroke on the next layer. and extended with small flower designs.On the last layer, tried the five finger stroke.
