A small flower kolam with buds and leaves. At the first sight this kolams looks like a freehand kolam. But it was drawn with dots as reference. A viewer Ms.Gowri from Bengaluru had asked the dot pattern and step by step procedure long back, the time to upload just arrived π Just 3 months ago, I am fair enough active to update at my earliest
π
This kolam was uploaded nearly a year ago π I still have to juggle with my daily chores and hardly have time to sit in front of my system to replicate the design on a drawing software. So I had drawn the dot pattern on paper, as I didn’t want to drag further long.
Dot Count : 10×2-2 Straight pattern
Place 10 dots in two coloumns and decrease the count by leaving the last dot on top and bottom. Its 8 dots in the second column, Keep on decreasing to 2.
Draw a round in the centre connecting the centre four dots. And a petal shape joining the dots adjacent to the round. Now add small two buds shapes above to each petal. The stamina is the part which confuses the viewers when it comes to identify the dot count. The stamens extend beyond the dots… Then the leaf part, draw a single leaf on all four sides, to complete the kolam.
I wanted to redraw this kolam and decorate with colours Sure it will look great with colours π hopefully to execute soon.
