“Lunar New Year“. Its the festive season and a long weekend here in Singapore.
My little one sings the Gong Xi song giving an effect of new year at home 🙂 Her school celebrated the Lunar New year today and had a Ang Boa (red packet given as a gift ) in her Goodie Bag 😀
There was a temporary Bazar near to my home called as Pasar Malam in local language, where small vendors sell all items related to the New Year celebrations – Decorative hangings in red, Oranges Oranges and Oranges seen everywhere.
My Chinese neighbour started their Yearly Spring cleaning of home last week and decorated their home with red colour hangings. All set ready for them to welcome the Lunar New Year 🙂

Today being the New Year Eve, the local market had a deserted look where most of the shops were closed and some were closing down before noon.
