This is my own creation. I have done this Sikku kolam in wet rice paste some four years ago. I always wanted to try this kolam in kolapodi. But couldn’t attempt and successfully drew this kolam..
I had 15 dots as the target dot count and tried to create a design having 4 dots sikku kolam as the first step to form loops. And keeping that as the base design extended the lines and made curvy turns here and there finally came up with this design, I suppose this took some 30 minutes to get a shape. The centre sikku strands matched the outer ones and I was happy with the outcome.
After drawing the kolam, As always I like to try my hand in beautifying it, though I didn’t have any idea about how to proceed. Just wanted to have a matching border, added the four dots kolam around for a sentry formation 😀
After drawing felt the centre was left aloof from the main kolam and added tear drop shapes..
For the colouring part, these are the fresh colours which I got from India. Bright and Bold shades 🙂
The green shades were inviting and the yellow was enthralling, I enjoyed and had a good break from my daily routine, of course a rejuvenating process for me.
