The real fact of an outdoor kolam is
“Mistakes aren’t Excused, Confessions aren’t Pardoned”
With that foreword here is the next sikku kolam on the display, That’s a hidden message for the scruffy execution π The original version of this kolam had a different pattern on the sides as I always try to change and take time to do it in my style.
The day I drew this kolam, as usual, I didn’t plan in advance ( part and parcel of my life ;-0 ) In the early hours of morning, I was trying to amend some changes here and there…It looked odd to my dad, as I never took a book in the morning even in my academic life ;-0 But with one rehearsal, I went ahead for the floor version, as I was running out of time, it was around 7.45am can’t wait any longer, the sun was shining bright which was ready to reach the mid of the sky π
I liked the design a lot but, I should have changed a bit on the edges too, there should be another single chain on the sides for uniformity, I missed it. No big deal will go for another try in near future π
Now coming to the caption of the kolam, Let me move on to the dot count – Well no talk about the mistakes made π
Dot count – 27 dots placed in rows, 23×2, 19×2, 15×2, 11×2, 7×2, 3×2
I didn’t think much about the enhancement factor, I drew my favourite lotus flowers on the sides with vines which I saw in my mom’s embroidery work π
